Art class in 6A
In grade 6A we have been busily working on the Federation of Australia in HASS. Using our inquiry skills we have been completing different tasks to show our understanding of the event.
This week we had a go at coffee staining paper, this gives the paper a worn look and is very effective to use when exploring things from the past.
Once we had all had a go at staining a piece of paper, we were asked to choose one of the ‘major players’ on the topic of Federation. We chose from Sir Henry Parkes, Andrew Inglis Clark, Edmund Barton, Sir Alfred Deakin and John Quick.
We drafted a sketch, refined our work and then copied it onto the stained paper. Here are some action shots of us working together and also some finished pieces ready to go up on display in our classroom.
