1A - Science Inquiry
1A have had a busy term with Science Inquiry learning supporting everyday materials and how they can be changed in a variety of ways. We have been predicting and comparing how objects made from different materials can be physically changed. To support our learning, we integrated Geography and the learning of natural and constructed features of places and how they too can be changed and how they can be cared for.
Our investigation table is combined of loose parts for play and investigation. When students interact with loose parts, they enter a world of ‘what if’’ that promotes the type of thinking that leads to problem solving and reasoning. Loose parts enhance a student’s ability to think imaginatively.
