Principal's Report
Reports and Parent Teacher
Today all students from Prep - 6 will receive their mid-year reports. These reports provide an overview of your child’s development and progress against the Australian Curriculum for their year level. We acknowledge that every child is unique and progresses at his/her own rate.
The format of this year’s report includes moderated assessments against English, Maths and Science for Grade 1-6 students. All students will receive a general comment focusing on social and interpersonal skills, progress across curriculum areas and future focuses. Each child has also created personal goals to support our whole school growth mindset focus.
It would be great if you could take time to discuss the report with your child, conveying your support and encouragement.
Please remember that Parent Teacher discussions will take place between Monday 24th and Thursday 27th June. These discussions are important as it gives teachers the opportunity to elaborate on your child’s progress and for you to ask questions. Please remember to book your meeting time using our new online portal or contact the school office if you are unable to do this.

Jon Madin
On Friday 7th June we were very fortunate to have Jon Madin visit our school to run music workshops with our Grade 3/4 and Grade 5 classes. We ended the day with a whole school concert to celebrate the learning that occurred.
Jon Madin is a qualified teacher who tours the country with his unique hand- made instruments and marimbas. Some of his instruments encourage students to get their whole bodies involved in making music. His musical bikes involve a pedal-powered roller with levers that allow the rider to play a tune. His dingboxes, which contain aluminium pipe, cowbells, tambourines and Indian taxi horns, are played by jumping on them.
Once again this was a fantastic opportunity for our students who were intrigued by the ‘whacky’ instruments and did a fabulous job learning the songs in such a short time frame.
A big thank you to Mrs Matthews who organised the visit.
Please see a video below to view the fun.
Brixhibition
We held our annual Brixhibition event on Wednesday 11th June. It was very well supported by our budding designers and builders in Prep to Grade 6. After a lot of deliberation, our three judges chose our grade winners and overall winner. Well done to everyone who entered.
Congratulation to:
